    Select your first equipment

     

    It could be an individual equipment, or a groups of equipment if you want to set common actions.

    Save your scenes

     

    Name your scene and choose an icon.

    Why not creating a scheduled scene: a simple way to automate your home so your scene plays on a specific time or date.

    For instance, schedule the automatic opening of your shutters every day of the week at 7 am.


    This feature is not available with the Connectivity kit.

    Access scheduled scenes

    It could be a specific time, or based on the sun rise and sun set.

    Somfy home automation boxes are compatible with many home equipment, from Somfy & major home equipment brands. You can add them when you start the adventure, or later at anytime.

    Add a smart home device

     

    During the first installation of your box, you will be guided by the app to pair products and devices.

    You can also add new smart home product at anytime in the app by clicking in the “My home” menu.

     
     

     

    Then, click on “Add equipment” at the bottom of the screen.

     

     

     

    Follow the instructions

     

    Start by choosing the category of equipment.

     
     

     

    And follow the guided steps.

  • How to create and configure your favourites in the TaHoma® app ? (0) 31.03.2025

     

    Add a favourite

     

    Go to the “My favourites” menu (star icon).

     

     

     

    Click on "Add a favorite" button

     

     

     

    Choose your favorite

     

    Then click on the item(s) you want to add:

     
    • An equipment
     
    • A room
     
    • A scene
     

     

    Size your widget

     

    Once selected, choose the display size of your favorite from 3 widget options:

     

    1. Small icon: To quickly access your equipment

     
     

    2. Medium icon: In order to be able to control the essential

     
     

    3. Large icon: To have all the functions at your fingertips

     
     

     

    It is add to your favorite

     

    The TaHoma® app automatically rearranges the layout of your favorites based on their size.

     
     

     

    Tip

     

    It is also possible to directly add items to your favorites by simply clicking on the star icon on their respective usage screen.

     


     

     

     

    Create a group of favorites

     

    You can also add equipment groups to your favorites! Indeed, it is possible to gather products from the same category within a multiple favorite. For example, all the shutters on the south facade.

     

    Go to the “My favourites” menu (star icon).

     

     

     

    Click on "Add a favorite" button

     

     

     

    On the "Equipment" tab, select category with multiple products

     

    NB: Equipment belonging to different categories cannot be grouped together.

    • Delete: Delete a favorite (Note: If you delete a product from the favorites, it will still be accessible from the home menu).

    iOS users

     

    To create a TaHoma widget on an iPhone, follow the steps below: ​

     

    1. Set up widgets from my smartphone shortcut

     
     
    • Open the "Shortcuts" app
    • ​Click on "+"​
    • Type "TaHoma" in the search bar​
    • Configure the shortcut with the chosen actions (ex: launch "Morning" scene)​

    2. Add widgets as shortcut on your smartphone

     
     
    • Make a long press from your phone's homepage ​
    • Click on the "+" that appeared in the top left corner​
    • Select "Shortcuts"​
    • Select the widget you want to add​
    • Place on your home screen​

    It's done! Now you can modify your widget by doing a long press on it.

     
     

    Android users

     

    To create a TaHoma widget on an Android phone, follow the steps below :​

     
    • Tap and hold a blank space on your Android home screen.
    • Select Widgets from the pop-up menu.
    • Choose TaHoma
    • Next, tap and drag the right size of the widget you want to add on your home screen
    • TaHoma will open and you will be able to choose the product or the scene you wish to have as widget

    It's done! Your widget will be visible on your phone's homepage​.

     

     

  • What are the minimum compatible OS supported by the TaHoma by Somfy app? (0) 31.03.2025

     

    The TaHoma by Somfy app supports the following OS versions: ​

    • iOS 15 and greater​
    • Android 8 and greater ​ ​


    Previous versions of iOS or Android OS are not supported by TaHoma by Somfy anymore. If you are using a previous version of the OS, TaHoma app updates will not be compatible to you but you will still be able to use the app (for an undefined period).

    Opt for TaHoma® Bee if you are looking for an evolutive solution to start connecting few equipment such as rolling shutters or blinds which will allow you to progressively add new Somfy devices such as motion detectors, opening sensors, lighting dimmers and climate controls etc.

    If you only need to connect your window equipment (curtains, blinds, screens, shutters …), opt for Connexoon Window RTS.

    TaHoma® Bee: All Somfy radio RTS products, and zigbee motors and devices are compatible with TaHoma® Bee smart home box. If you are equipped with wired motorisations, add a Somfy radio RTS receiver to manage them with your box.

    Connexoon Window RTS: Connexoon box works with the Somfy Radio RTS motors and devices. Once the box has been set up, you will need to download Connexoon Window RTS app. Review the full list of Somfy radio RTS compatible equipment (click link).

    Yes, you need an internet connection to register, connect your equipment, configure TaHoma® and control your equipment remotely.

    Most people assume that home automation is well out of their price range. At Somfy, we have designed our home automation to be flexible and scalable. You can easily start connecting your home by connecting your roller shutters then, when you can, your garage door, then your windows, your lighting and so on. In budget terms, a few hundred Euro is enough to connect your home. You can then equip your home at your own pace and according to your current budget.

    There's nothing to worry about! The battery and the GSM module take over with a battery life of 3 months. You will be aware of the slightest problems that occur on any of your connected equipment or any intrusion into your home, even if there is a power cut.

    What products are compatible with TaHoma®?

    All Somfy radio products (RTS, io-Homecontrol), alarm systems and connected devices (thermostat, cameras, locks) are compatible. If your home is equipped with wired devices, you can make them compatible by adding Somfy radio micromodules. Check the complete list of Somfy and partner products compatible with TaHoma®.

    What products are compatible with Connexoon?

    The points to check before starting:
    1. Do you have a good Internet connection? An Internet connection is required to connect your equipment.
    2. Compatible products differ depending on the home automation box you choose. See the previous question for more information.
